very good condition.....for its age

very secure, spine gilt still bright

-  pretty good -some splitting & repair to the back joint /a

- both with a wee bit of wear - but not too bad for its age

- very good
inner hinges
-  very good, but there's a half inch by 2" hole near gutter on the ffep

- bit toned but generally very clean!
last leaf [= 2 pages] is a copy= not an original page

- 2 very small pen marks
rips /folds
- 3 small rips / no folds / worm holes to a few pages [ shown last picture - only ate into it about quarter of  an inch] and a bit to one edge [also shown]
other:
- a good and solid book - seldom seen with the spine intact!

so the old book smell doesn't bother me.
As far as I can tell -this book has no bad smell.
