This week, we're offering a copy of the screenplay for the unproduced feature film adaptation of Disney's beloved 1990s animated series "GARGOYLES"!
The film underwent a long and complicated production history, with numerous writers doing drafts and being approached (including Neil Gaiman). The first draft was written by actor-director-writer Dean Devlin (STARGATE, INDEPENDENCE DAY, GODZILLA), who's called it his favorite thing that he's ever written. This follow-up script was written by Jim Kouf (STAKE OUT, THE HIDDEN, RUSH HOUR, NATIONAL TREASURE) and based on Devlin's script.
Concept design work was done by Rick Baker's Cinovation Studios with maquettes produced by Bruce Spaulding Fuller, Carlos Huante and others.
The project has seen renewed life recently, with Jordan Peele stating his interest in revisiting or relaunching the GARGOYLES property.
