    Description

    MV SOPHIE "C" floating post office US Mail Boat with RPO postmark on back from Lake Winnipesaukee, New Hampshire. Has a 9 cent postage stamp. Postmarked July 4 19?6...third number not readable. It's either 1966 or 1976. If it's 1976 it's the Bi-Centennial! Card captioned on back in part: ...76 foot all steel diesel powered carries 150 passengers. One of the few remaining floating post offices and delivers mail and freight to islands in Lake Winnipesaukee. Available for charter. No other written messages on back. Excellent with no damage, no odor. Mailed with cardboard backing.
