    Melvin Purvis, as a Special Agent of the FBI, became well known for his role in the investigations and manhunts related to a number of well-known criminals of the early 1930s, including Baby Face Nelson, Pretty Boy Floyd and John Dillinger, and others.
    After leaving the FBI Purvis teamed up with Post Toasties Corn Flakes breakfast cereal and formed the Junior G-Man’s Corp and later the Law and Order Patrol. Purvis was head of these organizations and Membership in was obtained by sending in box tops from Post Toasties. A variety of Junior G-Man badges and other toys which could be purchased by sending in box tops from Post Toasties Cereal.
