ood + condition -
Text and boards very secure, but some splitting to back inner, front inner has been taped, and the ffep pulled away leaving the gutter area rather ugly looking. Back cover looks good for age but the top tip is bent. A little wear to the spine ends.  Pages are generally very clean wit a few spots -but toned around the edges. There are a few small rips, and a few pages with just wee chips to the edges. One page with a small hole bottom margin

The only fold I saw was one of the list of illustration page. 8.5 /10 for its age.

may have accumulated bad smells along the way [musty basement/ mildew/ smoke]

dryer sheets in them for a few months makes a world of difference!
some of my books get sold right away so
please consider using this trick before deciding to return it!
My nose doesn't work like it use to
so the old book smell doesn't bother me.
